Known Issues

  • Wide captions on produced videos when viewed with Windows Media Player
  • When recording a video, the green active recording region indicators sometimes get captured in the recording as well.
  • Flickering video on videos using the h264 video codec produced with CUDA, when viewed with Windows Media Player
  • Resizing window from the top or the left causes a shaking effect
  • Crash after unplugging microphone during a Voice recording
  • Previewed audio and video stutters between splits
  • The program needs to be restarted in order to detect changes in connected microphones
  • Pasting Timeline items does not preserve blank space
  • Videos with multiple audio streams display an incorrect waveform
  • For a video with multiple audio streams, the user cannot choose which to use
  • Double-clicking on a project file will not open the project if VS is already open
  • Playback may stutter when moving between adjacent items on the Timeline
  • Previewed video playback may be slightly slowed iwhile attempting to resynchronize with audio playback
  • Caption previews do not underline whitespace
  • When opening the font menu for a Recorder annotation, the existing choices are not loaded
  • The recording region (and Recorder panel, if docked) can be lost with a multi-monitor setup where the screen resolutions are not all the same height
  • Uploading to YouTube requires a tag to be input
