ACDSee Pro (Mac) 1.8 Build 443 Release Notes

New Features

  • The Batch workflow tool now offers the ability to copy files and place them in new subfolders based on date to ease copying images from your camera to your computer.
  • Process presets can now be shared with other users by creating a custom Batch workflow that can be exported and imported from the Tools menu.
  • + New +/- buttons have been added to the Organize pane to easily allow you to add and delete categories for organizing your files.

Enhancements

  • A new modal pop-up progress bar now appears when file operations are running.
  • A new spinning overlay icon has been added to thumbnails when saving changes from Process mode.

Fixes

  • Warning when renaming to the same name in a different case (uppercase or lowercase).
  • XMP file is lost after embed ACDSee Metadata into BMP.
  • ACDSee Metadata lost if image is edited in another application.
  • Scanner runs continuously and fails to read images from Image Capture Device.
  • Switching to Geometry tab from Tune tab with “Show Clipping” selected results in temporary background color change.
  • Issues displaying updated image when Restore to Original is used in View Mode.
  • In Process mode, cropping is not applied when image is also adjusted by Straighten tool.
  • In Process mode, Tone Curves does not function properly when Black Point (first node of curve) is set to maximum Y value.
  • Thumbnail is updated only after refresh when processing or restoring to original DNG images (Mac OS 10.5.8 only).
  • When rotating or flipping multiple images, the Stop Rotating and Stop Flipping option does not function properly, causing program to freeze.
  • Editing metadata for multiple encodable images may cause program to freeze.
  • GPS Latitude \ Longitude shown incorrectly for some images.
  • Applying a Process Preset to a Spotlight search result may cause ACDSee to hang.
  • Images may disappear from File list while applying Batch Set Info and Batch Process.
  • Sidecar files are not created and database information is not embedded in some non-image formats.
  • Unnecessary alert displays when trying to view offline images in View mode.
  • State of filmstrip in Process mode resets after the application is restarted.
